A PAIR OF CHINESE CERAMIC VASES, Republic Period (1911-1949) 

Of baluster form with flared mouth rims, painted with five Shishi on each vase with mirror images in iron red, symbolising 'Taishi Shaoshi' (Happy Family). Two moulded Shishi masks with a ring applied on each side as handles. Poems written on the back. Signed 'Made by He Xing Long', a well known artist at the time, height 41.5cm. (2)
