Emile Galle - A Marqueterie-sur-verre Intercalaire vase circa 1900, the vase of tapered compressed ovoid form with a quatrelobed rim hot worked with indentations, the internally decorated glass body with deep golden amber swirls to the base rising to a swirled tonal green in the upper body, the exterior decorated in the "Les Anemones" pattern with applied colour pad cut back with a flowering anemone and bud with foliage, to the lower side of the flower a hand engraved Japonisme signature for Emile Gallé with monogram and cross of Lorainne, height 12cm, width 11cm, depth 7cm.
There is a shallow slender chip to the upper rim along one of the long sides. To one of the short sides there is a small nibble frit and to the rear side of the vase there is a small scratch.
All are small and minor and would polish easily with a professional glass restorer. There are no cracks to the body and no repairs. Please see images for minor flaws mentioned.
