Japanese Satsuma figural vase, late Meiji (1868-1912), probably by Ryokuzan, of trumpet shape moulded in high relief with a Bijin and dragon above foaming waves, in colours and with gilt details, character marks to the base, height 57cm

More Information

There is slight wear to the gilt rim at the top of the vase. There are some tiny losses to the fine detail around the mouth of the dragon and the crashing waves; these are minor however but are present on close inspection.
There is fine crackeleure throughout. There are a couple of tiny glazed chips to the outer foot rim.
No further damages.
