A Great Central Railway 12" dial dropcase wall clock by Fittons of Heywood, the original face marked with the makers name and G C R No 947. A label on the inside of the door is marked GCR Rothley Lot 183 (ex 1960s Derby BR auction). The clock has a chain-driven fusee movement, fitting for a slave drive, pendulum and key and carved ears. The right ear has been repaired but this could be tidied up. A fine example from the London Extension. (Postage Band: N/A)
