A silver cased key-wind fusee lever pocket watch by M Steiert London. The unsigned dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary dial, the movement signed and numbered 17233, London 1878, 46mm; together with a silver cased lever pocket watch signed STEWART DAWSON & co, the signed movement numbered 28070, Birmingham 1881, 52mm. The Stewart watch winds but doesn't run. The Steiert is running, missing its crown button.
