Star Lot: A phenomenal first edition, hardback copy of "Vanishing Dublin", by Flora H. Mitchell. Containing fifty colour plates after the artist's watercolours of her beloved capital city, many of the buildings captured in this enchanting record have since disappeared, making this a remarkable artefact of bygone Dublin. It is in super condition.
What makes this edition even more remarkable, is that only 600 copies were printed, with many of the plates later broken up and sold for prints. With introduction by the Earl of Wicklow and complete with original green cloth and dust jacket.
