AN ENORMOUS LATE 18TH CENTURY SHIP MOUNTED CUSTOMS FLINTLOCK MUSKETOON. With a 67 cm barrel, flared at the muzzle, measuring approximately 4.5 cm. Marked to the top of the barrel 'Custom House London'. With a heavy flintlock action indistinctly marked 'Sheppard' and arrow behind the action. The stock with revolving swivel to mount the gun on the side of a ship, and various stamped marks SM 57, 104, the rear of the stock with brass label 'S.M 145'. 115 cm long. In excess of ten kilograms.
