A pair of 19th century Sèvres style ormolu mounted pedestal vases and covers, Louis XV in taste, applied with tooled and raised gilt oval cartouches, each painted with courting couples, the gentlemen as musicians, signed Max, the versos with tranquil landscapes, on a cobalt blue ground, stiff acanthus capped scroll handles, campana shaped covers, bud finials, the shaped square bases with beaded socles, bracket feet, 42cm, painted interlaced L's with the letter "A", c.1880
