The Goodies (BBC 1970-1982) - Kitten Kong (Montreux Show) - original production used camera script for the episode Kitten Kong. This 1972 episode being specially made for the Rose d'Or Festival in Montreux, in which it won the Silver Rose. Based on an earlier 1971 episode which no longer exists due to being wiped, Kitten Kong is arguably the most famous and iconic episode of The Goodies. Recording date 18th March 1972. Complete script, 43pp showing cast / crew and shot details. Yellow paper, retaining the original pin to corner, the final page being pink. This script belonging to the 'Boom A' operator and features his handwritten notes within. A unique piece of British comedy history.
The Goodies was a BBC television series which ran from November 1970 to February 1980 on BBC 2, with 67 half-hour episodes and two forty-five-minute Christmas specials. The series was created by and starred Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, and originally co-written by all three, with Oddie providing the music for the show.
Provenance; Our vendor was a frequent studio audience member and saw many episodes being filmed. Each week, after filming had finished, she would ask a member of the crew for a souvenir and they would very often hand over their script.
