A MASHAD CARPET, Khorassan District North East Persia, c1910, signed, wool on cotton foundation, the ivory field with rose pink central medallion, pale and dark spandrels, all-over plant forms, the principal border filled with blossom trees within multiple secondary borders, 440cm x 313cm (some holes)
A group of six holes/tears at one end of field and borders; one small hole near far end of field. One cut to the outer edge; one fringed end has had a fabric applied to underside, fringe has worn in some areas along this edge.
