More Information

Height when removed from stand 36cm. Used condition, this has been reinforced with oak brackets and there is a patch in the copper to the front of the chest. All metal-work has been well polished, and some of the detail from the copper button mounts is beginning to be removed. Some of the metal mounts are loose at the edges. Key is present but lock not functional. There are pieces of detached brass moulding inside the trunk, and the chest lacks internal fittings. Handles are not currently capable of holding the weight of the chest and will need re-securing.
