A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 2929 Cpl P.C. Holmes E. Surr. R. Percy Christopher Holmes was the son of Robert and Annie Harriet Holmes of Houghton, Wormley, Godalming, Surrey. He served with the E. Surrey, Notts & Derby and Lincolnshire (7th Battalion) Regiments with numbers 2929. 201041 and 235623. He died of wounds on the 20th September 1918 and is buried at Grevillers British Cemetery, his headstone reads 'Even So, Father 'Tis Thy Will', he was 23 years old. Sold with copied research. *CR Normal light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
