A small flintlock pistol, possibly Afghan or similar, constructed utilising parts of a mid 18th century European pistol, 9½” overall, thick 2 stage barrel 5” with octagonal breech; flat bevelled lock with swan neck cock, unbridled frizzen and bevelled pan, the plate stamped “North” (?); plain fullstcock with engraved brass sideplate and no trigger guard; the bulbous butt sheathed in rawhide. WO & Generally GC (worn overall)
