An Austrian cold painted bronze inkwell in the manner of Franz Bergman, 20th century, depicting a monkey in a cloth cap, ceramic inkwell within, 6.5cm high (at fault)
The piece shows wear to the patinated finish of the cap, tarnish to the unpatinated areas, and a build up of dirt in the crevices. The ceramic inkwell may be a later addition, and shows three chips to the rim and a hairline crack down one side and across the base.
