A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR, MEMORIAL PLAQUE AND SCROLL TO THE LONODON REGIMENT. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 3909 Pte H.W. Harlow 1-Lond R. Memorial Plaque to Henry William Harlow. Private Harlow was the son to Henry W and Kate Harlow of 46 Cornwall Road, Brixton Hill, London. He served with the 1st Battalion of the London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers), also with number 201458, and died on the 16th June 1917, he is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, he was 21 years old. With photographs of the recipient in uniform, three letters to his mother 'Just a line to let you know I am still alive .... about six days in mud up to our waists'.
