Railway. B.R. Steam. Three photo albums containing approx. 600 black and white, mostly 3" x 2" prints. The photographs are stuck down and of mixed quality. The albums were put together by John Hartland of Edinburgh and cover the period from 1952-58. The majority of the prints feature BR steam on shed and in stations, locations noted: Edinburgh Princess Street, Haymarket shed, St Margarets, Aintree, Stafford station, Carlisle Canal, Birmingham New Street, Stockton, Tyne Dock, Kittybrewster, Birkenhead, Euston, Monument Lane, Grantham, Rugby, Salisbury, Eastleigh shed, Swindon Works/dump, Low Moor, Crewe Works, Derby shed, Horwich Works etc. There are also a few aircraft photos taken at London Airport and Farnborough in 1954, plus a few personal photos. The albums have very good captions and are a good record of the 1950's railway scene. Copyright is not on offer as the whereabouts of the negatives is unknown. Sample illustrated.
