Two continental black painted cast metal figures on horseback, late 19th or early 20th century, one modelled as a Roman Centurion, 54cm high, the other as a Germanic warrior, 56cm high (2) (at fault)
Both models show damage to the reins, wear and scuffing to the painted finish and small spots of white residue. Both bases show holes to the front edge, possibly indicating that some form of plaque was originally present. The centurion model shows a fracture to the front leg, which has resulted in the horse leaning slightly to one side. The same figure also shows a crack to the left side of the saddle.
Total weight of both together approximately 21kg.
