A worksplate, No 2073, Doncaster, 1950, from a (LMS) Class 4 2-6-0 No 43066 allocated new in December 1950 to New England where it spent most of its working life with spells at Neasden, Boston, Colwick and Carnforth from where it was withdrawn in January 1967 and sold for scrap to Wards at Beighton, Sheffield. Engraved brass, 12¼"x6½", the front lightly polished, the back marked WORKS SERIAL NUMBER PLATE. (Postage Band: C)
