Victory Medal to S-24415 Pte P Higgins R.Highrs. Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal L/G 30 Oct 1918 (Glasgow) '....He was sent to battalion headquarters with an important message. On his way he ran into an enemy post of two machine guns and four men. By magnificent courage and resource he captured the post single handed, marching the prisoners back and delivering his message at the same time'. Also awarded the French Croix de Guerre L/G 7 Oct 1919. Medal dated 1914-1917. (2)
