A mid 19th century 7 bore percussion sporting gun by Teasdale of Durham, 50½” overall, barrel 34” with short octagonal section at the breech, engraved “W Teasdale, 24 Silver Street, Durham”; signed scroll engraved lock with rounded hammer; finely figured walnut halfstock with no provision for ramrod, having horn fore end cap, chequered wrist, and silver escutcheon; engraved steel trigger guard having large scrolled hand grip. Good Working Order and Condition (some rust staining to the barrel). Stockel lists Teasdale working 1855-64 Plate 7
