Great Britain: Carlisle Law Library, certificate for 1 share, 18[64], number somewhat feint, black printing on vellum, on the 1830's stock, vignette of Carlisle City walls. Instituted in 1831 at the Public Rooms in Devonshire Street. It contained some 600 volumes. In the same building as the general Library of some 10,000 volumes. The Law Library was still in existence in the 1950's but no mention in recent years. Probably absorbed into the County library. VF and rare [R10].
