Original vintage Soviet Magazine Friend of Children / Drug Detey, 2nd year No 4-5 1926 monthly socio-literary magazine on helping children issued in Kharkiv, Ukraine by the Body of the Central Commission for Assistance to Children at the All-Union Ukrainian Central Executive Committee. The cover of the magazine features a photograph of two children drinking water, red and black lines framing the image, bold stylised lettering. The issue features articles in Russian and Ukrainian covering topics of health, tuberculosis, homeless children hooliganism, stories titled Homeless Artists and Thief, measures to combat homelessness, with a list of missing children; with supporting photographs depicting children sunbathing and playing in sanatorium, homeless children. 48 pages.
