The strainer shows very minor wear. The shell form thumb piece and rim would have been gilded originally, but the gilt finish is now heavily worn. The turned wood handle appears to be securely attached. The hallmarks are partially rubbed but legible. The stand shows minor wear and fine surface scratching, and has two small dents to the rim. The hallmarks are legible.
