A good quality Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase signed Nambe to base, probably Meiji period (1868-1912), of bottle form with twin gilt beast handles, decorated with two reserves with noble women with attendants in garden landscape and interior settings, the elongated neck with butterflies and stylised flowers, flared rim, 6in. (15.2cm.).
