BALANCE OF A WIRRAL COLLECTION: An 1851-1911 collection of postmarks, mainly scarce Birkenhead town sub offices inc an 1855 env. with a fine red s/l "WATSON ST." namestamp on flap (1 year later than previously recorded); an 1853 env. to Dublin franked with a 1d red star tied by a v. fine "BIRKENHEAD/1/JA25/53/74" sideways duplex (latest known use) with a fine "WATSON ST." UDC on flap (previously unrecorded used); plus other envs. & PPCs cancelled with UDC, Squared Circle, Duplex, Thimble, and Double Circle cds's. Mainly in fine condition. (53)
