RARE SHEET OF 25 UNISSUED 1st-TYPE 10c 'FLAG' STAMPS + "CORR. D'ARMEES/NOUMEA" C.D.S.' COVERS, ETC.; 1895/8 envs. (3) from soldiers in Noumea to France each with P&C 15c (1898 with corner fault) tied by fine "CORR. D'ARMEES/NOUMEA" cds's (2; 1895/7) or by plain Noumea cds (1898; with the Armees cds alongside); the first with scarce s. line "CORRESPONDENCE MILITAIRE" mark back & front (2 with Regimental cachets; plus trio of similar 1897 envs. to France with some stamps cut away and a piece and a fine unused sheet of 25 Unissued 1st-Type 'Flag' Concession stamps with original gum with v. fine blue 2-ring "GENIE/[Liberty cap/cuirass]/+ NOUVELLE CALEDONIE +" cachet on the reverse (slightly toned gum and a couple of light hinges) which was never issued because it should not have had the 10c value mentioned.
