Royal Navy Master at Arms Egypt Medal Group of Three Medals. Awarded to 83547 Master at Arms Edward George Sabey. who served onboard HMS Superb during the Egyptian campaign. Comprising Egypt Medal 1882 two clasps Alexandria 11th July, Tel-El-Kebir, (suspension slack heavy rubbing to the edge), E.G. ? SEAn HMS ?, Khedive Star 1882 (unnamed as issued) Marine Society Reward of Merit, engraved EDWARD G SABEY. Medals loose Master at Arms Edward George Sabey enlisted into the Royal Navy at 18 years 1876, he is confirmed as serving onboard HMS Superb being awarded the Egypt Medal with two clasps. In 1887 he was promoted to Ships Corporal and in 1895 he was appointed Master at Arms. He was discharged transferring to the RFR in August 1902. He does not appear to have served in South Africa during the Boer War.
