An 18th century pearlware Toby jug of so-called 'step' or 'Twyford' type, circa 1780, modelled seated with foaming jug, lacking pipe and decorated in shades of brown, 24cm.

More Information

The left foot/toe area has signs of an old restoration otherwise there are no signs of restoration or repaint.
The back of his hat appears to have thin glaze and has become discoloured.
Otherwise in good condition.
