Dusty, working order, slight rust on comb but teeth undamaged, label somewhat stained and creased with several tears, slight wear and small old restorations to case veneers, the transfer on the lid mostly rubbed off, thin brass escutcheon to front of case damaged, no key, case free from woodworm, slightly scratched on one side, requires cosmetic restoration, long in the present local private family ownership
