A Royal Lancastrian pottery vase, early 20th century circa 1905-1913, shape number 2783, the lobed vase decorated in mottled green, impressed ‘P and B’ mark and shape number to base, 15.5cm high, along with another, circa 1930-1938, of slender ovoid form, decorated by Gwladys Rodgers with stylised leaves in green and yellow, impressed maker’s marks, painted decorator’s mark and incised ‘E.T.R.’ to base, 22cm high, a futher vase, designed by William Salter Mycock, shape number 3034, 17.5cm high, a similar example decorated by Gwladys Rogers, 17cm high, and a Royal Lancastrian bowl, again by Gwladys Rodgers, 14.5cm diameter (at fault) (5)
The lobed vase and slender ovoid vase show minor surface wear, but no obvious chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. The Mycock vase shows extensive repairs. The Rogers vase shows wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights. The Rogers bowl shows a star crack to the interior.
