COVERS & POSTAL HISTORY "1838 Early History of Post Office/gives specimens of early Postmarks" document in the hand of Herbert Joyce, third secretary of the Post Office, offered with a page from his book "The History of the Post Office" showing examples of early Dockwra handstamps from the Hermitage and Bishopsgate Offices, as well as the time handstamps for 9 p.m. and 12 mid-day on Wednesday.
