A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 26149, 1947, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1248 built in October 1947 and named in the December GEOFFREY GIBBS at Doncaster Works after a LNER Director (1933-47) who died in 1975. Allocated new to Doncaster and later Lincoln, Immingham and Colwick from where it was withdrawn on 7 November 1965 and despatched for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth on 22 February 1966. Cast white brass, 13¾"x5½", in ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
