A PAIR OF COALPORT COVERED VASES, of urn form with twin gilt ram's head handles, on a square pedestal base, painted with vignettes of lakeside scenes, and floral panels, on a cobalt blue ground decorated with gilt foliate motifs, each scene is signed E O Ball, the covers painted with insects and having pineapple style finials, bases with printed green backstamps and gilt painted marks, total height 30.5cm (2) (Condition Report: one vase has multiple extensive hairlines across the body and around the ram's heads, this vase has a little light crazing in places, and an extensively repaired cover, the other vase having a hairline on the cover, and more extensive crazing especially over the hand painted panels and inside the vase, each has a repaired finial and some gilding wear)
