A late 19c French garniture de cheminée comprising a four glass mantel clock and two side urns. The clock has a carved onyx top and a stepped onyx base both with blue and white champlevée enamel decoration and the body of the clock has four glazed sides with decorated corner columns at the front. The gilt 12inch diam. dial has Arabic numerals and an enamel centre and rim. The movement by Marti has a deadbeat escapement and is rack striking on a gong. The pendulum is missing. The side urns are of onyx with gilt bases, rims and handles and stand on stepped rectangular plinths of onyx decorated with champlevée enamel. The clock stands 34cm h and the urns 28cm h.
The clock glasses are undamaged as is the enamel throughout the set. The onyx also is undamaged. The clock movement seems complete with mercury pendulum. One of the urns has a crack to the gilt metal top rim
