BISHOP'S BIBLE. 4to, Christopher Barker, 1584. Black Letter printed in two columns. With Apocrypha. This book is apparently not known with a general title. This copy has the colophon leaf bound in as the title page. Herbert states there should probably be 36 preliminary leaves. The colophon leaf is followed by three preliminary leaves: The whole scripture, 5pp, A Prayer 1p. The special title page before the Psalter (fo 215) is not present. NT title with loss at bottom. Cropped fairly close, just cutting into headlines in a few places. Neatly bound in mid-twentieth century full morocco with raised bands. Apparently the last 4to version of the Bishop's Bible.
