1711 NEWSPAPER SENT FREE, CLERK OF THE ROAD RECEIPT FOR PAPERS, LARGE PAR. PRO WRAPPER, ETC.; Fine complete 2-sheet 2-4 Oct. 1711 issue of "The Evening Poft" paper to Perth endorsed "Frank Dupplin" with fine Bishop Mark, fine 1820 "G.P.O./Henry Desborough, Clerk of the North Road" invoice for £2-10s-0d for delivering "News-Papers" for 3 months, and remarkable large open-ended wrapper franked from London to Alnwick not endorsed "Par. Pro."! Plus 1824/34 pair of free fronts, one signed by "W.E. Gladstone" (future P.M.). Fine and scarce group.
