1914-15 Star trio and Memorial plaque to 252 W.O. Cl 2 H. Cloy Manch R. (Sjt on Star, Harry Cloy on Plaque) very fine to extremely fine, gum residue to reverses. Attached to frame with cap badge and rank badge. CSM Harry Cloy was killed in action with 1/6th Bn during the Battle of Krithia Vineyard on 7th August 1915 and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. The Bn suffered over 100 casualties on this date. With original plaque card case, Buckingham Palace condolence letter and outer envelope of transmission addressed to Mrs A. Cloy, 9 Settle St, Hulme. With copied CWGC and MIC, he was born in Broughton. Also with glass framed copy memorial scroll, this glass frame will not be posted. (½B)
