25/4/23/JKHS. Exceptionally Rare WWII Japanese KAMIKAZE Pilots Hachimaki photography, medals, figurine set. Japanese Kamikaze full original set of Hachimaki x two one with writing reads KAMIKAZE ATTACK. Second Hachimaki is Thousand lucky stitches with two silver coins blessed by Shinto priest. Kamikaze wounded medal & bravery medal & very detailed Kamikaze figurine. Mitsubishi Zero Navy pilot, that made the cut, 1 in 380 passed the stringent Mitsubishi zero pilots examination. Small Sakura cloisonne pin likely sent to family by JP government years later to commemorate the pilots death, accompanied this set obtained from old house demolition in rural Japan. During occupied Japan 1945-1960's many Japanese families of Kamikaze pilots destroyed these items for fear of retribution from USA occupied forces in Japan searching house to house for weapons. Kamikaze Pilot likely wounded going into battle crashed & died from wounds later. Pilots details hand written on the rear of the photograph. GBP 850-1250
