AN 1822 PATTERN LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICERS SWORD FOR AN ARTILLERY VOLUNTEER. An 1822 pattern sword with an 80cm pointed, fullered blade decorated with a grenade and artillery piece, and 'Artillery Volunteer. The blade marked for Simmons Brothers Cockspur Street, Pall Mall, London. The handle with three bar guard and wire wound shagreen grip. The scabbard with twin suspension rings. 98cm overall. *CR: Worn and marked surfaces throughout. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.
