An original 1944 United States WWII propaganda poster, issued by the US Government's 'Office of War', designed by Victor Keppler: 'Wanted! For Murder; Her Careless Talk Costs Lives', 71 cm x 50 cm. Private collection. This (at the time unusual) style of poster was intended to shock the 'everyday' population during wartime, warning them that idle conversation could potentially be used by spies to adversely affect the war effort, and even cost the lives of US servicemen in Europe and beyond. Some tears to the folds, and small elements missing from the edges. Requires care when unfolding.
