Eight albums containing a combined total of approximately 1,660 images of British warships from the 20th and late 19th centuries, including some postcards - but the vast majority are Wright and Logan or Maritime Photo Library postcard-size photos, with some plain-backed. One album has around 302 images - another ten, but each image has been lovingly described with a printed name of the vessel and some other information on the relevant album pocket. The seven better-populated albums feature (1) an estimated 245 submarines; (2) 203 frigates; (3) 76 wooden ships and battle scenes with 187 ironclads and battleships; (4) 212 destroyers and 18 torpedo boats; (5) 302 destroyers; (6) 68 seaplane, escort, aircraft and other carriers together with 47 other vessels (including minelayers and submarine depot ships); and (7) 292 cruisers - of which 49 are postcards, possibly more postcards than the other seven albums combined. All the figures are approximate. Nearly all the images are in good or better condition. A lovely item for the naval enthusiast.
