Mid 19th Century Pair Of Cased Percussion Holster Pistols By Bourne


8 3/4 inch, 16 bore, octagonal, browned Damascus barrels.  Front, white metal stud sight and rear V sight.  Top flat engraved "London".  Blued barrel plug with scroll engraving.  Case hardened lock plate with scroll engraving and maker "Bourne".  Matching stylised , dolphin head percussion hammer.  Sliding hammer safety.  Finely figured, full stock woodwork with checkered pistol grip. Horn end cap.  Case hardened, steel trigger guard with scroll engraving.  Steel ramrod pipe.   Captive steel ramrod.  Both contained in polished mahogany case.  Reinforced brass corners and circular lid escutcheon.  Green baize lining complete with copper and brass, three way flask by "Hawksley" ... Steel ball pincer mould ... Ebony handled clearing rod.  The interior lid with maker's label "Joseph Bourne & Son London".  Clean pair of pistols.
