A FIRST WORLD TERRITORIAL GROUP OF FOUR TO THE ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY. A Great War trio comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 210 S.Sjt J. Fraser R.A. Territorial War Medal similarly named and Territorial Efficiency Medal named to 600023 FAR S.Sjt J. Fraser R.A. Mounted as worn from a suspension bar. James Fraser was born in Inverness in 1890 and enlisted at Cromaty with the North Scottish Royal Garrison Artillery before transferring to the Inverness Battery of the R.H.A. Originally a Gunner he became a Battery Shoeing Smith. By 1912 he was a Staff Sergeant. He disembarked at Alexandria on the 22nd February 1916. He was discharged on the 3rd August 1919 having contracted Malaria in the Middle East. A year later he enlisted as a Gunner, quickly rising to his former rank, before being discharged on the 8th October 1923. Mounted for display with copied research.
