Margaret Kennedy is a contemporary prize-winning Irish artist. She spent many years working in the equestrian environment, which enables her to extract great detail, movement and personality of her subjects in her paintings. She works in a realistic manner, paying special attention to detail and form and emphasis on composition and the incredible effects of the juxtaposing of light and shade. Her work is represented in many private collections in Ireland and abroad, and has participated in a number of group exhibitions. More recently, Margaret has become a successful author, with her first book "Mr. Luggie Tatters" being published in 2006.
