A VERY DECORATIVE IRISH GEORGE II SILVER CHASED MUG, Hallmarked maker William Townsend, Dublin, c.1750. The scroll handles having acanthus leaf draped upon the shoulders, the body with central blank cartouche surrounded by scrolling shell and ornate floral decoration both embossed and engraved; all atop raised circular foot. An exceptional decorative piece of 18th Century Irish silver. Weight: 310g. Height: 12.7cm
