A fine pair of 18 bore percussiion belt pistols by C & H Egg, c 1845, 10½"overall, browned octagonal twist barrels 5" with swivel ramrods, the top flats engraved "Piccadilly, London", London proved, the scroll engraved back action locks having safety bolts and engraved "C & H Egg", with chequered walnut butts having scroll engraved sideplates to which are attached 3" steel belt hooks, vacant silver escutcheons, and flared butt ends with scroll engraved steel caps with hinged traps. VGWO & crisp condition, retaining all original browned, blued and colour hardened finish. £1200-1500
