A Small Jun Green-glazed Bubble Bowl, Song dynasty with rounded sides rising from a tapering foot to a gently incurved rim, covered overall in a pale green glaze stopping just above the foot, thinning to a mushroom tone at the rim. Bowls of this size and shape include two in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, illustrated in A Panorama of Ceramics in the National Palace Museum: Chun Ware, Taipei, 1999, pls. 80 and 95; a related green Jun bubble bowl is illustrated in Anthony Du Boulay, Christie's Pictorial History of Chinese Ceramics, Oxford, 1984, fig. 2, p. 86; and another example, sold in our New York rooms, 17th March 2015, lot 88.
