AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY JAPANESE SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA SERVICE

Meiji period (1868-1912), Yokohama, comprising a teapot, a milk jug, and a covered twin-handled sugar bowl, each of compressed globular form, the teapot with a curved spout opposite a C-scroll handle covered in rattan, with a pull-off domed lid surmounted by a spherical chrysanthemum topped finial, the bodies with embossed bamboo pattern, the milk jug with a double skinned interior. (3) Teapot 14cm high, 31.5 troy ounces
