A most interesting Geo III hunting sidearm, straight SE shallow fullered blade 24”, DE at point, etched, with traces of gilt, on one side with crown, GR and iii, with trophy and flourishes, and on the other with 1801-16 crowned R Arms and supporters with motto, trophy and flourishes, cruciform hilt with beaded rims to silver plated turn down lion’s head shell guard, plain crossguard, lower band and flat lions head pommel, plain ebony grip, with companion knife, in its polished black leather scabbard with silver plated locket (rim AF) with lions head frog stud, and panelled chape. GC Plate 3 £600-700
