PEARLS WITH AN OPAL & DIAMOND CLASP
the triple strings of pearls are strung with the intention of the box clasp hanging off centre to the left of the neck, with larger pearls strung to the right to balance this. Shortest length of pearls approx 44cm, longest 50cm. clasp approx 2cm x 1.6cm. The opal is approx 14mm x 10mm x 2.5mm, with a halo of rose cut diamonds. weight 42.8gms
Opal has several significant chips, and is slightly loose in the setting. please see photos, stringing a little grubby, but appears sound at time of writing this.
Largest pearl approx 6.8mm x 7.5mm, smallest approx 3.4mm x3.4mm.
Diamonds that appear dark or missing are there but closed back, as that is how the clasp is made.
